Italian luxury mohair coating - deep plum

From Italian designer deadstock, this is an absolutely spectacular, highly textured coating in a mohair/wool blend with a very small synthetic content. A classic coating in a highly sought color, offering incredible warmth and beautiful highlights/lowlights. The face of this coating features about 1/8" nap and the reverse is a flat weave in nearly-black (similar to a melton wool), including occasional longer fibers throughout. It has body with some firmness in the drape, a wonderfully soft hand, and the overall impression of the color is a deep, moody plum. It is stable in both directions and does not fray. A joy to sew and a treat to wear! Sew a designer quality coat, lined or unlined jacket, vest, winter suit, etc. Dry clean only.
